Digital Design Lead

Design lead for the website and all digital properties in order to organize people around the country to build political power to protect the nation’s food, water, and climate. 

  • Led the redesign of the Food & Water Watch and Food & Water Action web experiences to meet digital strategic goals of increasing one-time donor contributions and driving awareness of the organization’s mission, advocacy and electoral work. 

  • Spearheaded the redesign of the donor, advocacy and volunteer digital products to ensure a seamless and cohesive brand experience across the website.

  • Led the creation of a new digital research product to showcase long-form content and data visualizations in an effort to shape public opinion and legislative action. 

  • Led creative strategy and implement designs for various fundraising campaigns throughout the year.

  • Managed designers, agency vendors, content editors, department stakeholders and front-end developers to align digital strategy and goals with digital design projects.


MARCH 2018 – APRIL 2020  |  ZIPRECRUITER  |  SANTA MONICA, CA / PORTLAND, OR

Lead Website / Digital Designer 

UX/UI design lead of the marketing website, which aims to convey the value of ZipRecruiter to the public.

  • Led the marketing website redesign to become a cohesive product through visual auditing, stakeholder research, competitive analysis, wireframing, design, prototyping and managing final handoff with front-end engineering.

  • Restructured the navigation to reduce inbound job seeker cases in customer service in order to increase attention toward paid subscribers and adoption of a third-party intelligent self-service platform.

  • Led A/B tests for site hero designs that resulted in increased conversion rates, which resolved to the new design as the standard.

  • Led creative strategy and implement designs for SMB email campaigns to drive incremental registration to subscriber conversion rate.

  • Created site microinteraction storyboards and led collaborations with the motion designer to execute final designs.

I also led the design of additional marketing initiatives, spanning across the marketing, partnership, advertising, and events teams.

  • Established visual direction for branded partnership campaigns that included paid media, landing pages, and email graphics.

  • Created Facebook ads during a year-long campaign initiative where my design became the #1 ad on FB out of 40 ads between October 2019-December 2019.


2013 – 2018  |  BLUE STATE  |  LOS ANGELES, CA

Senior Designer

As the lead designer in the LA office, I managed the design efforts for Southern California clients while supporting projects from other teams. During my time at Blue State Digital I pushed the company-wide design team to develop unique creative, adopt the latest design trends, and collaborate efforts across multiple offices. 

I led a wide range of digital visual deliverables for Prostate Cancer Foundation, Entertainment Industry Foundation, Packers Everywhere, Universal and Google. This includes large-scale responsive websites, branding, campaign development, and ideation of concepts for new business pitches.

  • Art directed and created visual language during site builds—from kickoff meeting to research to the development of sitemaps, wireframes and/or prototypes.

  • Collaborated with creative directors, strategists, UX designers, and web development teams throughout projects to ensure that the overall vision and plan for interactions and architecture are carried through into the live sites.

  • Art directed photoshoots and created guidelines for future shoots.

  • Presented on-going visual direction to clients for buy-in to campaigns.
